Comfortable Elevated Camping for Three People

The Thule Kukenam 3 Roof Tent is designed to offer a comfortable sleeping area without the need to pitch a conventional ground tent.

Its spacious 244 × 142cm sleeping footprint accommodates up to three people, making it ideal for couples who appreciate extra room, small families and adventure travellers.

The included 6cm high-density foam mattress provides a comfortable base for sleeping, reducing the amount of additional equipment required.

With a maximum internal height of 132cm, the tent also provides useful headroom for sitting, relaxing and getting ready for the day ahead.

Built for All-Season Outdoor Adventures

The Thule Tepui Explorer Kukenam uses durable 260g ripstop polyester-cotton fabric engineered for outdoor use.

Its coated fabric helps resist water, UV exposure and mould, making it a practical choice for regular camping adventures.

The robust construction is designed to withstand varied weather conditions, while the insulated fibreglass base helps provide a more comfortable sleeping platform.

For Scottish camping trips, where conditions can change quickly, the combination of durable fabric, integrated weather protection and elevated sleeping accommodation makes the Kukenam particularly appealing.

Always follow Thule's guidance regarding severe weather and wind conditions.

Excellent Ventilation & Insect Protection

Good ventilation is essential for comfortable camping, particularly when sleeping in a compact elevated space.

The Thule Kukenam features mesh ventilation panels that can be opened to improve airflow.

Integrated mosquito screens help prevent insects from entering while still allowing fresh air to circulate.

This is particularly useful during summer camping trips in Scotland, when midges and other insects can make traditional camping uncomfortable.

Practical Storage & Camping Convenience

The Kukenam includes four large interior storage pockets designed to keep essential items within easy reach.

These provide convenient storage for phones, head torches, clothing and other smaller camping accessories.

Exterior attachment points also allow compatible camping lights and accessories to be added to your setup, helping you create a more comfortable campsite.

The folding design allows the tent to be packed away on the vehicle between camping stops.

Durable Aluminium Construction

The Thule Tepui Explorer Kukenam is built around a strong aluminium base with an insulated fibreglass sheet.

The internal frame uses wrapped 16mm aluminium tubing for structural support.

With an overall tent weight of 54kg and a static weight capacity of 272kg, the Kukenam provides sturdy elevated accommodation when correctly installed on a suitable vehicle and roof rack system.

Ideal for Scottish Camping & Overlanding

From the rugged landscapes of the Scottish Highlands to the scenic North Coast 500, the Thule Tepui Explorer Kukenam Roof Tent is an excellent option for campers who want flexibility and convenience.

Its elevated sleeping platform, comfortable mattress and weather-resistant construction make it suitable for touring holidays, weekend escapes and overlanding trips.

Whether you're exploring remote Highland campsites, enjoying a weekend near Loch Lomond or travelling further across the UK and Europe, the Kukenam offers a practical way to bring comfortable accommodation on your travels.
